Performance Day Volunteer
How to Volunteer
As a community, non-profit theatre, we rely on volunteers to keep our century-long tradition going. For all performances, our volunteers ensure our audience members have a positive experience by filling key roles before and during a performance. Please join our performance volunteer team, where you can help when you’re available and see our shows for free!
In addition to the volunteer opportunities described below, we are always looking for help with cleaning, building maintenance, fundraising, and more. Please email Jill Worthington at volunteer@ltwb.org and let us know how you’d like to help!
Usher
As an usher, you will hand out programs and help audience members find their seats before the show begins. You may also be asked to fold programs and insert them into our season brochures after you arrive. For Friday and Saturday evening performances, which usually start at 8 pm, plan on arriving at 7 pm, an hour before the performance start time. For Sunday afternoon performances, which usually start at 3 pm, plan on arriving at 2 pm. Once the performance begins, you are free to go or, better yet, stay and enjoy the show in seats reserved for volunteers. We typically need 5-6 ushers per performance. To volunteer, please email Jill Worthington at volunteer@ltwb.org.

Concessions
At concessions, you will set up the concessions counter, so audience members can see what you’re selling, and then sell snacks, sodas, water, coffee, and tea using a Keurig-type machine for the coffee and tea and a Square app for taking payment. After enjoying the first act in seats reserved for volunteers, you’ll sell again during a 15-minute intermission and then settle the cash drawer and put everything away. For Friday and Saturday evening performances, which usually start at 8 pm, plan on arriving at 6:30 pm, an hour-and-a-half before the performance start time. For Sunday afternoon performances, which usually start at 3 pm, plan on arriving at 1:30 pm. Once you’ve closed concessions after intermission, you are free to go or, better yet, stay and enjoy the rest of the show. We typically need 1-2 concessions volunteers per performance. To volunteer, please email Jill Worthington at volunteer@ltwb.org.

Raffles
In addition to our memberships, sponsors, and ticket/bar/concessions sales, we raise money for special theatre projects or for other non-profits in our community with our 50/50 raffles. For Friday and Saturday evening performances, which usually start at 8 pm, plan on arriving by 7 pm, an hour-and-a-half before the performance start time. For Sunday afternoon performances, which usually start at 3 pm, plan on arriving by 2 pm. After selling during intermission, you’ll hand off the raffle proceeds to the lobby host so they can announce the winners before the second act. Then, you are free to go or, better yet, stay and enjoy the rest of the show. We typically need 1 raffle volunteer per performance. To volunteer, please email Jill Worthington at volunteer@ltwb.org.
