Summer and Smoke

The young Tennessee Williams was as full of talent and passion as he was later in life.  He would go on to write A Streetcar Named Desire and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.  In 1948he created a glorious spiritual sexual romance set in Mississippi, not often seen onstage.  We bring it to you as our “winter heavy.”  It may bring you to tears.

We’re sorry we cannot announce what we have in store.  We are working on something BIG!  Stay tuned!

The House of Blue Leaves

Some comedy is too offbeat and unpredictable to be set anywhere but New York City.  A would-be songwriter, his wife, and his girlfriend, an AWOL soldier, a Mad Bomber, three overzealous nuns, and Pope Paul converge in 1965 Queens for a wild adventure.  We promise you won’t know what’s going to happen….until it does.

Presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc.

Disney's High School Musical

Maybe you were in your high school musical.  Or maybe you were a jock, a Brainiac, or just yourself, as we all wanted to be.  High school is harder than we remember it.  This hit Disney musical deals with all it’s joy, heartbreak, and triumph.  Bring the whole family.

As in 2019 and 2023, Little Theatre will stage original works from area playwrights.  A distinguished panel of theatre educators and judges will choose the best from works submitted.  You’ll see them for three performances in August.  Even we don’t know what will be staged.  Prepare to be surprised!

The Secret Garden

Over a century ago, The Secret Garden earned a special place in the hearts of readers.  It’s 1991 transformation into a Broadway musical by Marsha Norman and Lucy Simon brought the beloved novel into a new dimension.  A glorious score adds musical magic to this classic tale of redemption and rebirth.  For the family!
